MobileBeat Innovation Showdown 2014

We're looking for companies -- from young startups to more established players -- with the very best new ideas in, and around mobile. Is your product/service providing mobile solutions and/or tools to help businesses effectively grow revenue & reduce costs?

Then this is your opportunity to showcase your company, product, app or solution in front of 900+ business and mobile execs, leaders, IT decision makers, venture capitalists, investors, and press.

We're breaking the finalists into two groups:

1) Early stage companies (late seed stage to Series A):
We'll select companies that have received a range of $500,000 to $3 million in seed or early Series A funding. If you are a startup or a company that has received less than $3 million in funding, you may apply. We will also accept applications where companies have minimally viable product that is in a pilot or a beta but have not launched on a large scale yet.

2) Midstage Companies (Series A to Series B funding):
The other selected companies must have at least Series A or B funding (have received more than $3 million in funding, including your first or second venture round). You have a product on the market with a defined customer base and paying customers or pilots. You have a defined sales cycle and pipeline. You are looking to expand your executive, tech, or sales team and need to do another raise for expansion.

Finalists will have five minutes to showcase their innovative mobile technologies live at MobileBeat. Our team of judges — made up of industry experts, venture capitalists, and actual enterprise customers — will provide feedback on the products/services presented and determine the winner from each group.

The Showdown winners will be announced onstage at MobileBeat and will receive VentureBeat coverage, introductions to investors and/or relevant potential customers in our network, and other prizes to be announced.

The application deadline is Friday, June 13th at 11:59 PST.

Additional guidelines/rules:

- We suggest you submit a short video telling us more about your company or product with your application. This should not be an elaborate production. We are just looking for a no frills video of the entrepreneur or executive talking clearly about the idea.

- A person from your company (ideally the person in the video) must be available to pitch live at MobileBeat.

- We do not allow powerpoints. Instead you can do a live demo, video, or another creative way of presenting your technology.

- We’ll accept products that haven’t even been launched yet, and in fact we encourage this, and prioritize this.
